Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is the kind of adventure game that trusts you to be patient. You explore a quiet town where everyone sleeps by day, lighting lanterns and piecing together why the place is stuck in perpetual dusk. The hand-painted backgrounds are gorgeous on a phone screen.

Puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic. I only got stuck once, and even then the game gently steered me by having a character drop a hint. The atmosphere is the real draw — rain on windows, soft piano, doors that creak differently depending on the hour.

It's a short game, maybe five hours, but it stuck with me. I finished it on a rainy evening and it matched the weather perfectly.
